General Information
Warm Beach
Community Church is a dynamic congregation on the northern fringe of
the Seattle metro area, seven miles south of the town of Stanwood in
the unincorporated community of Warm Beach. The church has been
sharing the good news of Jesus in its community for over 98 years.
The church runs 200-250 in attendance on Sundays and has
approximately 350 adherents with all ages represented. We have two
distinct musical styles in our morning services. The church has seen
significant growth in attendance and giving over the past eight
years, and has purchased 11-1/2 acres for a new building at a site 2
miles north of the existing campus. Approval of the conditional use
permit for the new building is anticipated in July 2008. To maintain
growth in the interim, the church has been running three Sunday
morning services in the existing building. However, we will be going
back to two services for the summer starting on June 22nd.
Compared to most
other churches of similar size and setting, Warm Beach Community
Church has a higher amount of unity, volunteerism, spiritual
maturity, value of authenticity, friendliness, number and quality of
musicians, and willingness to embrace change to see God’s Kingdom
expanded through our ministries. The church is completely debt
free. We currently have two full-time associate pastors: Gary
Forslund leads children’s ministries, choir, and worship for the
first service plus several other ministry tasks, and Jeremy
Frisinger our youth pastor. Jeremy replaced the former youth pastor
Richie Kachele last year. Richie is still a part of the church and
regularly leads worship for the second and third service with his
band Catalyst, which has been offered a recording contract with
Seven Seventeen Records.
We are looking for
a new pastor because our pastor of eight years, Dr. Alan Ehler, has
answered the call to become the Professor of Pastoral Ministries at
Northwest University in Kirkland. The church is in an excellent
state of health and ready to move forward under the right
leadership. We are looking for a visionary lead pastor who is
credentialed and in good standing with the Assemblies of God. We
plan to offer a salary and housing allowance package of
$60,000-72,000 (depending on experience and education) plus health
insurance for the pastor’s family.
